Here is my letter to the Assistant Director. Currently the position is not filled however, I am in the process of contacting the appropriate individuals:

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Kevin Dunn, and I am a current junior here at Penn State University. I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Photography and Media Studies concentrating in Sports Media. Part of my curriculum this semester is Photo 410 – Athletic Photography.  A portion of this class includes working both a Football game and a Men’s Ice Hockey game.  Not only will I be photographing those two events, but I also am required to photograph another Penn State athletic event.  I am writing this to ask the permission to photograph game-play at Woman’s Volleyball events. I am interested in volleyball because I played for my high school, and I grew up watching my sisters play. I am interested in photographing PSU Woman’s Volleyball because its one of the most popular fall sports on campus, they hold six recent NCAA championships, and they are 5-3 with a very promising season ahead of the team.
